Maybe: Strepokinase is not tested in pregnancy, but when it is being given (heart attack, stroke) it is generally to save a life, so the risk/benefit may be in favor of using it.  Hopefully this will never be needed in pregnancy.

Yes: It is, but we almost never use it in the US any longer.

Dissolves clot: Acute coronary syndromes are generic terms to describe blockage of the arteries feeding the heart caused by rapid formation of a clot in the vessel wall.  Usually opened by balloon angioplasty and stent placement if patient sent to suitable facility and team.  If not available, streptokinase and other enzymes to dissolve the clot can be tried.  Indiscriminate dissolution may result in bleeding.

It's not alive: Streptokinase is an enzyme that dissolves blood clots.  It is not the bacteria streptococcus which is probably what confuses you.

No bacteria in shot: Streptokinase injections don't contain actual strep bacteria (or any other bacteria unless it is contaminated).

Avoid and treat: You can often lessen symptoms with avoidance and medications. To certain allergens you can greatly lessen sensitivity with specific allergen immunotherapy. You can lessen all ige mediated reactions with Omalizumab (xolair). As allergists we usually recommend various combinations of these depending on severity and duration of symptoms as well as comorbidities (other medical problems).

Genetics: Simple answer: most who develop allergy it is because of genetics and environmental exposure to allergens. In reality it is much more complex than this.

If too many symptoms: Hay fever (allergies) is usually due to pollens that are in the air. Some people are allergic to molds and other substances. One can wear a mask when working outdoors or when hiking. Avoid playing outdoors when the pollen or smog levels are high. Medicines such as Claritin otc, zyrtec otc, or prescription eye drops and nasal steroid sprays are helpful. Allergy shots are another option.

Meds, Avoidance: Ragweed allergy presents with congestion, running, itching (eyes and nose), and post-nasal drip (season from August to first frost). See an Allergist in order to confirm suspicion. Intranasal steroid sprays and non-sedating antihistamines can be helpful as well as avoidance measures (keeping car and house windows close, avoid high pollen counts). Also allergy shots or new sublingual tablets.
