Start trying : A retroverted uterus is very common. If your lining is 17mm that also is very common and could mean you are getting ready to ovulate. If you want to get pregnant start getting ready. You may want to talk to your doc about "preconception counseling" and start taking a prenatal vitamin.

PCOS: Most with PCOS have the effects of estrogen increase (without production of progesterone with ovulation) which make the endometrium "thicker". Without ovulation induction, those with PCOS will have minimal success in becoming pregnant. See a gyn endocrinologist to get information about ovulation induction medication, so pregnancy might more statistically often occur.

Depends: As long as those septations are thin, very thin, no.  But the thicker they get the more attention they draw as they may be worrisome.  Endometrial thickness depends on hormones. So if you still have a period, then maybe not

Not too thick: An 8-9 mm endometrial thickness is not much for someone your age. Discuss with your Obgyn the results. The term heterogeneous could imply an endometrial polyp. Your doctor can determine if further testing with a  sonohystogram is warranted or not.

"Lost in space": The uterus is supported by ligaments that allow it to be moveable in space and not fixed in a certain position forever. That is the "flip side" of your question.

Normal.: Uterus is normal size.  The orientation of the uterus is retroflexed which means that the top of the uterus is laying down toward the spine rather than laying forward toward your abdomen.

No best position: Sexual satisfaction is subjective and every woman is different. Do what feels best to you and make sure that you've had a discussion with your partner about doing what makes you most comfortable. Some people however may consider side-lying as a neutral position that is independent of uterine anteversion or retroversion.
