i have been clumsy all my life, tripping and falling down a lot. now that i have osteoporosis, im worried about breaking a bone when i fall. what can i do to improve my poor balance?

Accepted Answer

Many things: Make sure your osteoporosis is adequately treated.  Make sure your calcium and vitamin d level is normal.  Supplement if necessary.  Remove house hazards that can make you fall: maintain adequate lighting around the house, remove clutters that can make you trip around the house, remove movable carpets/rugs.  Install fall guards and handles in bathroom/bathtubs.

i am 24 years old with normal bloodwork. i have had two years of episodes of extreme forgetfulness (own name, place/people, etc.), mental fog/confusion, poor balance, and headache. what should i do?

See neurologist: Could be a migraine symptom or an epilepsy symptom, but definitely needs evaluation for other underlying possibilities as well, such as hypoglyic episodes. Best wishes to you.

Possible depression: The symptoms that you list are commonly associated with depression and anxiety.  Fibromyalgia is commonly associated with those problems and, if it is, it is not likely to improve unless those problems are successfully treated.  You need to see a mental health professional.

Teneder feet and imb: If teneder could be circulatory factor or neuropathic cfactor, also if imbalance could be more neuropathic cause, also may be ataxia or ms, needs more evaluation and h/o be sure not to drink heavily also check B12 and uric acid  etc..

Not likely: Your symptoms are not guiding towards anything specific. Your age is not an age common for cancers, so I would look for alternative diagnosis like migraine or others. It is still prudent to see a neurologist to examine your nervous system.
