To name a few:  atrophied fat pads which mean that you are walking on bone,  neuroma which is like a thickening of a nerve, capsulitis which means there is inflammation in a joint, . Depends: These symptoms can be caused by a variety of problems. Simple treatment consists of icing 20 min daily, elevation when possible, antiinflammatories as tolerated, limited activity, good thick soled shoes, good arch support and limited barefoot.  If persists, see your podiatrist. Dr l.
