Opiatebenzodiazepine: temporary use as prescribed for the immediate post operative pain is okay.  Longer term use causes habituation and tachyphylaxis,there is some recent data suggesting heightend risk of cognitive decline (dementia) in those who have used benzodiazepines; so be careful and use sparingly

Maybe: Without knowing your medical condition, this can't be answered.  Call the doctor who prescribed Ativan (lorazepam) and ask him/her.

i have been taking sertraline for years, 25mg, and recently had surgery, which caused my anxiety to flare up again and i began taking 0.5mg of lorazepam about 3 weeks ago for anxiety.  i would like to use cbd instead of lorazepam.  how do i ween off?

Varies among people: It depends on a person's starting dose, what his symptoms are that are being treated, how the weaning goes, etc... Thus, one needs to work with his prescribing doctor for dosing advice. The 0.5mg is the smallest tablet. If only taking it at bedtime, some people cut it in half, and take a half tablet each night for a couple of weeks, before stopping. Some skip it every other night before stopping.

: The BMI and other factors used to decide when and if a specialist will do weight loss surgery vary with the group or center. Please contact any center in your region for guidance. Most do require mental health evaluations and treatment as part of their intake process. Whether or not an individual will be accepted into their program depends on their protocols.

Very little, if any,: ...of your eye drops can make their way to your mouth and tongue.  If this problem started after cataract surgery, it may be a coincidence.  Good oral hygiene (thoroughly brushing your teeth twice daily &amp; rinsing mouth out with warm water after eating may help this damage to heal.  Meanwhile, take the advice of you family doctor. can i combine  ativan (lorazepam) 1 and 600 ibuprofen? had ectopic  surgery also azo ote isn't really helping. any suggestions?? for uti!!

Tell your doctor: If abusing Lorazepam you need to tell your doctor.  There is help for substance abuse like this, and you need it. Sorry, but i'm not sure what you mean by "they are going to be bio?"   urine drug screens are not typically part of pre-surgery labs.  If you're habituated or dependent on Lorazepam and your doctors don't know this, they would not prescribe any post-surgery & you could have withdrawal.

i just took my first dose of ativan (lorazepam).  1/2 of a .5 mg tab and i feel hyper.  is this normal?  how long is it in my system?  will i be able to sleep?

Paradoxical response: This is not an uncommon phenomena.  I would note your response to benzodiazepines, and not take them anymore. If you can't sleep tonight try a little over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine).

i got 2 hours of sleep, stressed out from losing a family member. took half of my normal dose ativan (lorazepam) around 3am. does no sleep make anxiety worse? can i take more ativan (lorazepam)? normal dose is .5 2x a day

Normal dose: Particularly at this time, take your usual dose of Ativan (lorazepam) to see you through the crisis. Don't depend only on drugs but make sure you have the family and friend support you need. Think about counselling if your feelings of stress continue. Sorry for your loss and all the best.
