Depends: The importance would depend on amount and origin. A little color can originate from your throat , back of the nasal passages or airway due to the mechanics of retching or coughing hard as it traumatizes the structures. This is rarely more than small amounts &amp; wouldn't give big clots. This would self heal. Any more would require an evaluation to be sure.

Post nasal drip: Your problem is not in your lungs, it is either in your nose or sinuses. Get tested for allergies and checked for chronic sinusitis. See an allergist.

Aspiration: Even small quantities of fluid or food can cause the airway to become inflamed, infected or reactive. If you are still symptomatic I would suggest a Pulmonary evaluation, including PFTs and a Chest radiograph.  Weight loss may or may not be related.

Try the tetra: As long as the vision is ok, tetrahydrazoline is a good eye lubricant and anti-allergic drops.  It has no side effects and can be useful.

Not enough detail: The duct that is responsible for draining your tears from your eyes is located on the inner part of your upper and lower eyelids. It ends in your nasal passage. When you have significant congestion or blockage of your nose, liquid can back up and come out out your tear duct. Not necessarily more serious, but means you are very congested.
