TD: Repetitive involuntary purposeless movements such as grimacing, lip smacking, tongue protrusion. Is result of long-term use of antipsychotic drugs, & some drugs for vomiting such as promethazine.  Cause is unknown but thought to be due to Dopamine super sensitivity caused by these drugs. It can occur with seroquel, (quetiapine) but very rare.

Yes: The gall bladder stores and concentrates bile made by the liver to help digest and absorb fats. The gallbladder has nerves which control ejection of the bile when needed. In biliary dyskinesia the contraction of the gallbladder is abnormal. The duct cointracts first and then the gallbladder. So the gallbladder is trying to eject bile through a closed tight opening. This causes pain without stones.

Tardive Dyskinesia is involuntary movements; e.g., facial grimacing, jaw swinging, repetitive chewing, tongue thrusting &amp;/or finger movements  from long-term use of  antipsychotic medications in 10-20% of patients.

No: Tardive dyskinesia is a movement disorder caused by anti-psychotic medications.  In this disorder, people develop movements they cannot control, most notably of the mouth, tongue or head.  It develops after a long period of time on the medication and it does not typically go away when the medication is stopped.  Ssris don't effect Dopamine in a way that would cause this movement disorder.

Examples are tardive dyskinesia and Huntington's Chorea.  There are many causes including side effects of some drugs, genetic, or the sequelae of infection or injury to the CNS.
