Before evening: It's maybe drinking as soon as you wake up and before you start the day. Some people may consider early in the day anytime before the sun sets.

Not sure: what exactly you mean by "alcohol once a week".  First of all no 7 or 8 y/o should be consuming alcoholic beverages.  I am not sure that it is the alcohol per se though that is the only factor if your growth was stunted.  Many other factors including genetics, diet, stress  etc.  But not a good idea for preteens to be consuming alcoholic beverages

if i drank alcohol before knowing i was pregnant would my torso  feel sort of bruised the day after in reaction to drinking alcohol in early pregnancy?

I have no clue: And don't quite understand what you mean about "torso feeling bruised."  what risks there are to your unborn baby are probably relatively small, but that depends on how much drinking you were doing and how often. Your obstetrics provider can do a variety of tests to look at the baby's health, but this would be usually done somewhat later in the pregnancy. Your doctor should evaluate your pain.

Not quite: If concerned about pregnancy do test after missing period. You may avoid alcohol or rephrase question about what adverse effects you get from alcohol.

In Limited Quanity: Red wine is known for its beneficial effects on heart and vascular functioning.  A 4 ounce glass a day is quite adequate to achieve this goal.

There are calming effects of alcohol in general in small amounts, but more larger amounts and frequency can be deadly.

What kind analysis?: If you are talking about psychoanalysis, it might have some impact if you drink enough to still be intoxicated the next day, or if you are "hung over." if you mean a urinalysis, it may show up if they are testing for alcohol, or alcohol metabolites (ethyl glucuronide or ethyl sulfide).

Not necessarily: Certain criteria need to be met to make a diagnosis of alcohol dependence.

Alcoholsim: There could be several things here. Chronic alcohol intake on the stomach can increase acid production. If you are inhaling some of that acid at night it will cause a cough.  Alcohol is very dehydrating and your cough may be caused by that.

But, I am happy to hear you ask for help.  Would you consider taking a thirty day trial of not drinking to see if you feel better?

Depends on if: it is enough alcohol to cause stess. If you binge out and start uncontrolled vomiting, it definitely WILL affect it; three thimbles full of wine definitely will NOT affect it.
