Pain after injection: Sometimes, patients who receive an injection into their arm may experience some local discomfort, making moving the arm  difficult.  There is nothing specific to  what is injected (assuming a standard injection usinf a local anesthetic and cortisone) that will affect the use of the arm.  Good luck!

i've had severe side effects of pupil dilation drops (difficulty moving arm and legs + lightheadedness, for about 2 hours) my doc said it's very rare happening (1/m), i want to know what exactly happened and does it has long term effect?

: I wonder if any doctor is able to explain this idiosyncratic reaction but I can assure you there will not be any long term effect.

is it possible that it be broken if you cannot move your arm at all, or just painful with slight difficulty moving it?

Accepted Answer

Possible but rare: It is possible to have a fracture if it hurts to move your arm but usually not common to have that unless you have had some trauma to the arm. Either way get evaluation with your doctor since you having so much pain with movement.

my mom told me that when she grabbed her pen, her index finger becomes painful. afterward, the pain radiated to her wrist and to her lower arm. now, she has difficulty moving and using her hand as it is painful. should we go to the doctor?

: Has she been having symptoms in those regions? It's hard to imagine that significant injury in healthy tissues  occurred by simply grabbing a pen. Sprain of muscles, tendons or ligaments are possibilities here. In view of her discomfot I do recommend being examined by a physician. In the meantime apply cold compresses to painful or swollen areas. Ibuprofen could be taken.

Fiber/fluids: Start with playing detective and monitor your diet for any recent changes.  You want to increase fluids and fiber in your diet. Some over the counter laxatives or stool softeners could be tried at first, but if this is a chronic issue and persists, than you need to see a GI dr. For an evaluation of your constipation. Good luck.

Go see your: Primary dr who may order an x-ray and/ or MRI of your hips and possibly refer u to an orthopedic specialist . You could have a dislocated hip, strain, tendinitis , arthritis, etc give us a feedback on the final dx. Take care !

Allow grief: Any significant loss can cause grief. That is normal, so give yourself time to go through the grieving process. Consider when you might be able to get a new pet. Spend time with friends. If the depression is bad, see your primary doctor; medication or counseling may help you heal from your loss.

Not usually: Stiff movements can be a part of parkinsons disease. This is usually a separate issue that a panic attack.

what could cause knee to not track after 1 yr after tkr? bending for long periods or  sleeping on side causes difficulty moving/straightening knee.

Be checked: There are a number of possible causes, and i would encourage you be checked.  An exam and x-ray can usually detect the cause.  It is usually either device related or more soft tissue related.  Thank you.
