Ask your dealer: not a doctor.  There is no such thing as a good high, but unfortunately you do not seem to be in a place to realize that. Yes but . . .: Yes, 4, 500mg/d of Acetaminophen exceeds current fda maximum of 3, 000mg/d in someone w/normal liver function. However, for an acute infection such as yours, narcotic pain medications are usually prescribed to be taken as needed, not around the clock, in which case, we offer you the option of taking it more frequently, but don't expect you to do so. Ideally, we'd also write nte (not to exceed) 4/d.

been on norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 7.5\ 325 for 4 months. never missed a dose 4 a day. have 22 pills left rather be in pain than take anymore. can i ween off with 22?

Yes, you  can: Cut them in half. See chronic pain management specialist for chronic pain medication and talk to pain psychologist for cognitive behavioral therapy counseling and biofeedback. Good luck.

Minimal: Not sure what you are referring to as uta. Bystolic (nebivolol) is a BP medication. Hydrocodone does have some CNS depression. That is not that high of a dose, but is not a medication you should be taking on a regular basis long term.

Drug abuse: Drug abuse is not based on the amount of opiate or other addictive drugs. It is based on why it is taken. Anyone taking even a small amount for recreational purposes or without proper indication would fit that category.

Those of any opioid: The main complication of using opioids is constipation, which can be reduced by using stool softeners (colace, surfak) while taking them. Decreased bladder contraction with urinary retention can occur, as well as increased sweating, swelling in the extremities (edema).  In higher doses, respiratory depression, coma and death. The Tylenol, (acetaminophen) in excessive doses, can cause liver damage.

Not recommended: All medications should be properly discarded after their expiration date.  The safety of the medication after the expiration date will be effected by the temperature at which it has been stored, its exposure to light, and its exposure to moisture.  The history of these factors is sometimes not known and therefore it is best to properly discard after the expiration date.
