Cervix getting short: Cervical "thinning" is also called cervical effacement. In most women, the cervix is around 4-5cm long (0%).  As the cervix ripens in preparation for labor it gets shorter.  This is effacement.  It is expressed as a percentage.   Effacement continues during labor until it is 100% effaced (paper thin).  This is one measurement labor staff use to track and communicate the progress of labor.

was given misoprostol for cervical thinning in order to perform uterine biopsy. it gave me a horrible headache and i starting bleeding. is this normal?

Progestogen: Yes, those side effects are related to progestogens such as the drug you were given.  They should subside in a short time.

It is too soon: It is far too soon for the cervix to be thinning. Monitor your pains and if they become rhythymic at 5 minutes or less contact your OB MD.

Cervix Changes: the cervix dilates from 0 to 10 cm which is ready for delivery.  The cervix also thins it starts out about 2-4 cm long and then we judge its thinning by percentages. You will hear 10% effaced(thinned), 50% effaced, completely effaced which means it is thinned all the way. Losing the mucous plug has to do with neither, it is just mucous in the cervix that is lost anytime prior to delivery.

: I have not heard Guaifenesin is used to improve cervical mucus.

i had sex a week after cryo surgery and i'm on the pill. does cryosurgery increase the chance of pregnancy? because of thinning of the cervix?

No: Cryosurgery does not increae your chances of pregnancy, but i'm surprised your doctor didn't tell you not to have sex for at least 3 weeks while the cergvix is healing, or at least until the watery discharge stops completely(usually 10-14 days).

i am 37old lady..i am suffering from foot drop and numbness left side..mri report says cervical cod shows diffuse thinning n myelomalacia extending from c3 upto mid dorsal level. iask neurosurgeon they recommended exercise?

: Not feasible to be precise, based upon your post, but might consider the following: not clear, so far, why you have lengthy myelomalacia, but this could be secondary to Neuromyelitis Optica, Spinocerebellar Degeneration, etc.  Has effort to uncover etiology been accomplished?   Have you had full evaluation from an experienced neurologist?
Lastly, not clear as to what question needs to be answered.

i am 21 weeks pregnant. i am having a lot of vaginal pressure and a little cramping in low abdomen. cervix has already started thinning. normal?

Probably not: Sometimes the pressure can be normal, but somtimes it is a sign of miscarriage. Are you cramping a lot? Any discharge? This is not normal and you should call your ob.
