i have a lump on my neck just over my gland which is swollen aswell i have bad sinuses all the time but my shoulder is sore as well and im just worried someone told me it could just be a blockage and could be caused by my sinuses please help thank you?

Probably infection: Though infection is the most common reason for swollen glands in the neck, there are other, more serious conditions also.  Please see your physician in order to be properly diagnosed.

can allergies/sinuses cause swollen lymph nodes? noticing swollen nodes, but no pain and not feeling sick. just some sneezing fits and nasal drip.

Yes: Lymph node enlargement usually signifies an immune response and thus may be enlarged from an infection or an allergic reaction.  However if the nodes are getting larger or fail to subside after a few weeks, you need to consult your doctor.

i've had a swollen face off and on for last three months i had a ct done and my sinuses look good. what could be causing the swelling?

Swollen Face?: This could be allergy or a skin condition. Keep a diary of your foods. Try to eat plain cooked foods - nothing raw. Canned okay. If you are fine, then add new foods one/week. 
Or check with dermatologist.

i had an mri due to swollen optic nerves...paranasal sinuses: no fluid levels. small right maxillary mucous retention cyst. should i be worried? no other significant findings. what else could be causing swollen optic nerves?

: This will not do it. Some have an idiopathic cause. idiopathic is Dr. talk for we do not know what it is.  Discuss with your Drs. Can be difficult to figure out the cause.

I find that...: The most common cause of your complaints is a nose that has had too much surgery. Without more history and an examination there is no way to know the cause and therefore the treatment, for your condition. If you have more information please restate your question.

Swollen Sinus: Swelling of the sinus cavities is not normal.  It is necessary to have a thorough evaluation to determine the cause of the swelling and then your doctor can treat you properly for that condition.  For example if your sinus cavities are swelling due to allergies, then proper treatment for the allergies can be started to help you.

Swollen gland: Likely what you are describing is something called lymphadenopathy, which is swelling and inflammation of lymph nodes.  This can lead to pain and can be aggravated by movement, depending on the location of the swollen lymph node.  Generally speaking, most lymphadenopathy is caused by infectious processes. This could be viral or bacterial.  Frontal sinusitis can potentially be the cause in the neck.

my frontal sinuses are very swollen and i have a bad headache. is this an emergency?

See a doctor: It is hard to tell if this is an emergency but you definitely need to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. Sinus infections are commonly associated with a headache due to sinus pressure but may result in more serious neurologic complications . If you have neck stiffness, nausea/vomiting, changes in vision, speech, swallowing, or weakness, go to the er immediately. If in doubt, go to the er.
