Inflammation: Nasal polyps are thought to be due to inflammation in the area, whether from infection, allergy or other causes.  It is like a scar or callus in a sense, although the structure is quite different.  Polyps tend to reoccur and may require additional surgery or topical and oral steroids.

If small may require nothing . May be able to use only allergy meds. It depends on the cause. If you smoke or use cocaine this will aggravate the problem

Very unlikely. : The treatement can be nasal steroids  to help reduce the size. Allergy treatment can help with preventing recurrence. Decongestants will help with swelling. Nasal surgery may be required.  Nasal enlargement is not likely.

See below: Rhinitis = inflammation of the nose, it is usually viral as in a common cold.

Nasal polyp = grape-like benign masses in the nose, these are usually due to allergy.

Possibly : See your ENT for the answers. Can be somewhat painful but you are given pain meds and decongestants. Follow the directions given by your doctor It is also important to know the extent of the surgery.

I am not: Aware of horseradish being a treatment for polyps. Steroids are the first line treatment. Then control of the environment (allergies) and treating any infections.
