i have a pulsing feeling close to my tailbone no pain. it feels like a vibration. i had low back surgery a few years ago . this feeling just started a short time ago . i have ra and fibromyalgia. what do you think this is?

Pulsing: If this a pulsation that is synchronous with your pulse, it could be a prominent pulsation of an artery, either the aorta or one of its branches. If this is a prominent and rather steady symptom it's recommended to get checked for the presence of an aneurysm. See your MD for evaluation and advice.

The cause?: If you are only coughing at night,then unlikely you have a lung problem.As such,please see your doctor.Could be a simple post-nasal drip.If this not the case,your doctor will look for other issues.(reflux disease?)Other causes can be varied,some serious , some not.I prefer that you discuss these with your doctor. so best to be seen and investigated.

Need more info: Does this mean that you can "poo", but just have difficulty? This can be constipation and usually can improve with a diet high in fiber along with plenty of water. Of course, there are many other reasons for your complaint, and the best course is to get a complete examination by your doctor.

See your doctor: Difficulty swallowing can be a sign of a serious process going on. It can also be due to heartburn so start taking some Omeprazole or equivalent medication and if it doesn't resolve see your doctor soon.

If you find it, wow!: I imagine you don't really mean "all times", but at times that you presently get upset. Mindfulness meditation skills definitely build a person's capability to let things be acknowledged without getting hooked-in to reacting. There are teachers, books, tapes, etc and it is not too difficult to learn enough to improve your skills to at least a degree. Don't expect miracles but it works for me.
