Nerve Pinch: This sounds like a pinched nerve in the neck. Although it could be other less common causes. If you have no other medical problems: infection history, cancer history and no significant weakness then give the pain 6-8 weeks to improve.  Nsaids can be beneficial (unless you have kidney problems).  Talk to your doctor if not improving over time.

No: No, you can't strain a lymph node by stretching. If the lump is itching and is in your armpit, it could be a clogged sweat gland that has caused a pimple to form. If it gets big enough over the next few days, it would be good to see a doctor to know what it is.

in july after 20/7 time at my pc with my arms bent,i developed a knot below the inner crook of my left arm with tingling&numbness.my gp said not to strain it&gave me antinflammatories but the numbness &weakness in my whole arm still persists alot?

Impingement: It appears that there is a nerve impingement by bones, muscle, tendons or cartilage at the level of the elbow causing the (probably ulnar) nerve to be swollen or damaged. I recommend consulting an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation and treatment options. Appropriate studies, including a possible EMG, will be ordered. Physical and occupational therapy will most likely be needed.

See details: It is difficult to give specific advice without being able to visualize the shoulder. The one thing i can say is this does not sound like a strain. You need an orthopedic evaluation if you have not had one already. Given the severity of the problem a more thorough evaluation is essential and an MRI should be seriously considered.
