Cardiac Arrest: Ultimately, if you lose too much blood (or blood pressure), your heart cannot continue to function properly and cardiac arrest will take place.  This is technically death; but, if emergency resuscitation is performed in a timely fashion, it is possible to bring someone back from severe blood loss.

friday i was diagnosed with a broken blood vessel or vein on the top of my foot after no recollection of injury. now, it is bruised and the vessel is swollen and purplish. the bruise itself is spread and greenish. can this happen without trauma?

Yes: Sometimes you do not recognize the initial trauma. Bruises will spread and change colors like this and then should fade away after a few weeks. If it becomes increasingly painful you should see a doctor.

Ideas: History and physical exam. Taking meds? Platelet count as part of the CBC, pro time, partial thromboplastin time. Basic chemistries. Tourniquet test and bleeding time are not obsolete. Antinuclear antibody screen. If any suspicion of vasculitis, more labs.

Epistaxis : Epistaxis or bloody noses can be caused by a variety of things and it is worth having it looked into by and ear, nose and throat doctor (otolaryngologist). They can place a scope (small camera) into your nose and see why you are having the nose bleeds. They may even be able to stop them from happening which i'm sure would be a relief to you!

in the meantime, here are a few nose bleed tips. If your nose starts to bleed, pinch the soft part of your nose below the bridge (not the bridge) to stop the bleeding. Now keep pinching for 5 minutes. Set a timer or look at a watch because it will feel like forever. And no peeking! that will stop 95% of all nosebleeds. Good luck!

See a urologist: Although i suspect you will heal completely, blood in the urine from vaginal trauma should be investigated further.  You should see a urologist for a thorough examination.

See below: The best utilization of blood supplies is probably at a combat hospital in a war zone. We, however, do not have this luxury during peacetime.

No: If someone has blood in their urine, they need a medical evaluation.  There are a number of possible causes, some serious some not.  But all of them are medical, not stress-related.

Depends: If the blood is on the white part, it is likely to be a broken blood vessel caused by holding your breath like with a sneeze, lifting heavy objects, etc.  If the blood is behind the clear window go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

BLOOD EYES: Subconjunctival hemorrhages after eye trauma secondary to or  are common and will disappear without treatment. Don't worry !
