Please clarify.

I can think of three: As a true vegan ( no dairy or eggs), one may be deficient in iron, vitamin b12, and vitamin d ( although non-vegans often also lack vitamin d).  Let your doc know the extent of your diet and how long you have been a vegan.  This will help him/ her in selecting appropriate tests.

Vegan or OvoVegan?: If one doesn't eat eggs, then egg white (which is all protein) is not an option. That means one would have to add items like beans, legumes (like peas), nuts (like cooked cashews or cooked peanuts), soy (like tofu), etc... To get more protein. However, as long as one eats a balanced vegetarian diet, his body can make muscle protein from the nutrients in the balanced variety of vegetables he eats.

Whoa: Something is wrong here. All vegetarians need to supplement with vitamin B12, but it's best done orally unless you cannot absorb the stuff that way. B12 shots twice a week is overkill; once a month is probably fine. Leukoderma is often vitiligo, or sometimes tinea versicolor or something else; a proper diagnosis needs to be made. And vitiligo can run with pernicious anemia. Needs to be sorted out.
