Depends: If it "messed up" everyone who smoked it, you wouldn't find people smoking it.  Most people experience a mild euphoria, with some experiencing stimulation and others mild sedation. Some people become very anxious, rarely to the point of a panic attack, and it may increase depression in some. Younger adolescents may experience psychosis, esp if there is a family history of schizophrenia etc.

Not  Recommended: If you have hypoplastic left heart syndrome & you smoke weed you are reckless. Carboxyhemoglobin concentrations are 5  times higher with cannabis  than with  tobacco. Prolonged use of cannabis can lead to airway inflammation, wheezing & increases in sputum production.  The heart & the respiratory system both need to work well for good oxygenation of the body.

It depends: It depends on how much and how vigorously you inhale, and how closed the room atmosphere is.  If there&#x27;s little non-smoky air, you would be effectively &quot;smoking&quot; with every breath you take.  (not as strongly as those who are purposefully smoking, though.)  remote possibility your urine could show up positive.

You'll be hungry: probably very hungry.  It will not do anything specifically harmful unless you don't eat (or drink) for a very long period of time.  If you do not have experience with marijuana, first time users who are older may experience more dysphoria (feeling bad), increased anxiety and even panic attacks. It also impairs driving ability and other tasks that make it unsafe to operate dangerous machinery etc.

There is pretty good evidence it can help some people with severe chronic pain and weight loss.

Lots of visine.: Take all the bad things that can happen when you smoke tobacco, then add in some memory impairment, difficulty focusing, and the thing that probably scares teenage boys the most:  erectile dysfunction.  I've seen guys in their 30's start to have ED and other problems like retrograde ejaculation because of their marijuana use.  Then there's fertility issues too... Try to avoid it!

It may make it worse: Tobacco smoke causes relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter, and marijuana smoke, though not as potent at doing this, may also lower the pressure and increase the likelihood and severity of reflux.
