by what i have been told i have a bacterial infection could a bacterial infection linger on for months if its untreated ?

It can, depends: Some bacterial infections, like a chronic pneumonia or a topical skin infection like impetigo, can persist for a few weeks to months. More likely, they would get worse until they were unbearable or caused an abscess. They do eventually go away by themselves at times, but like the olden days, they also used to kill people when unchecked or untreated.

ONLY IF TRICH: Trichomoniasis, sometimes referred to as "trich", is a common cause of vaginitis. It is a sexually transmitted disease.  If you have an untreated infection that is "Trich" than it is already trich and you need to be treted. Another infection will not turn into Trich.  An untreated partner can transmit this disease to you if they have it.

STD risk, avoid sex: Whatever kind of "bacterial infection" you have, it won't become something different, either an STD or otherwise. You may already have an STD. "Bacterial infection" of the vagina usually means bacterial vaginosis, and STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc) are more common in women with BV. Best to avoid sex, and both you and your partner get medically evaluated. If sex can't be avoided, use condoms.

how do u get tear duct bacterial infection? and can it be treated with eye drops? i had conjuctivitis which i healed with eye drops and i worry if i had tear duct inf. too which i left untreated. does it mean every time i cry my eyes are reinfected?

: The conjunctiva is the membrane covering the eye which is is direct contact with the tear ducts. Conjunctivitis is an infection that involves both structures.Treating it heals both.Some such infections are viral and self heal, some ore bacterial and benefit from antibiotic drops.You can also have allergic or irritant conjunctivitis that are treated differently.Crying does not cause/mean infection

bacterial infection in my big toe that feels like the infections id get from ingrown toenail,but my infected ingrown toenails normally have pain that gets worse if left untreated due to the nail growing more into the skin. this time, pain fluctuates?

See dermatologist: should be evaluated by dermatologist and treated if necessary. There are ways to lessen the risks of this ingrown nail and possible infection.

Urgent Care: You can be seen in an urgent care clinic or at your physician's office. You did not state what is infected, but many issues cannto be resolved with antibiotics alone.

PID: You could develop pelvic inflammatory disease, which can be potentially life threatening. If you haven't had kids, pelvic infections could affect your ability to get pregnant.
