Diet not helpful: Studies have clearly shown that diet has little benefit on serum uric acid levels no matter what other doctors may tell you. The one thing you should do is minimize alcohol intake. If you have gout you should be on Allopurinol to normalize your uric acid levels and prevent future attacks. If there is no gout, you do not have to treat the uric acid level.

A waste of time: For the 10,000th time, diet has virtually no effect on serum uric acid levels. If you do not have gout or kidney stones, do nothing. If you do have one or both then you need to be on allopurinol to normalize your serum uric acid.

: Olive oil is sometimes used to treat gout because of its so called antiinflammatory effect. Remember, gout attack is usually self limited so people may mistake olive oil can be helpful in treating gout. 
Olive oil does not affect uric acid level per my knowledge.
My advice: reduce uric acid intake, use proven med to lower uric acid, use Colchicine + antiflammatory drug(s) to treat acute gout.

LE edema, CKD: if you have edema you may be fluid overloaded.Usually an increase in BUN( urea) which occurs in CKD causes itching but your burning may be a variation. Uric acid(not the same as urea) of 7 is upper limits , the edema is the real issue   Call your renal doctor today or go to ER as you may need a water pill / IV to get the fluid off . Check CMP, and U/A as you may be spilling protein due to CKD .

Depends : Depends on the medicine. Some we use are just to decrease the inflammation (prednisone, indomethacin) whereas others(uloric, allopurinol) are for uric acid. You don't want to start the ones that lower the uric acid levels during an acute flare they' ll initially prolong your flare.

Colchicine: Colchicine (C) reduces uric acid levels in patients who do not excrete a normal amount in their urine, under-excretrs. C increases the urinary output of uric acid (U), lowering U levels in those persons. If one is an over-producer or normal producer of U, C will be of no use. You can reduce U by staying well hydrated and by avoid eating organ meats, such as liver.

: You can try. You have to DRASTICALLY reduce your protein intake. Increase water intake. and get another level in 3 months. If not substantially changed then you might have to take a med. Good luck
