i am almost 2 years post op 2 level lumbar fusion. low back pain has improved but still having issues with back muscle tightness/muscle fatigue. exercise regularly, weights, walking, yoga. advice?

Stretch: Before exercising.  This is really important as it will help increase your strength as well as decrease injury.  Get a loved one to give you a massage or get a professional one on a regular basis.

: Fatigue following acute infection is very common in "Long COVID" syndromes.  We do have medications to treat fatigue associated with other medical conditions, and one or the other may be helpful.  Would suggest you discuss with your doctor and start an interventional product.  This offers a potential of improved energy and stamina, but is symptomatic relief.

Way too many: possibilities to narrow it down without a very thorough history and physical. If this persists for more than one month, get a check up.

Sounds: like you may be eating too much SUGAR !!

Try a low carbohydrate high protein diet...

Exercising + Adrenal: Walking in nature or other meditative exercises help to decrease the body's stress response and call for cortisol.

If a person has "adrenal fatigue", they have poor exercise recovery from extreme exertion, and that can delay healing.    

I always recommend avoid over-training if a person has impaired recovery from exercise or a suspicion of adrenal fatigue.

See below: Yes: Underweight might be secondary to or symptomatic of an underlying disease. Unexplained weight loss needs evaluation asap. Severely underweight individuals may have poor physical stamina and a weak immune system, leaving one open to infection. Malnutrition due to poor/inadeq intake, genetics, underlying mental or physical disease need to be ruled out.

Muscle Fatigue?: Have you been pushing yourself harder than normal? Do you over train?  Are you an endurance athlete? Have you had changes to your training schedule or program? Fatigue needs to: be looked at by your doc.  Could be thyroid, other hormones, or lifestyle.  Magnesium alone is not the answer.  Peace and good health.
