The best pain drug?: Believe it not, there is no one "best pain drug". Different medications work differently for each individual. One patient will tell me "it did nothing for me" while another says it "knocked them out" (same medication and dose). Actually, the best pain relief is: see your dentist for treatment. That works 100% of the time.

Mouth Ulcers: Mouth ulcers can be caused by minor trauma to the oral cavity. Other causes include: stress & anxiety, hormonal changes, family history, foods like chocolate, coffee, peanuts, almonds, strawberries, cheese, tomatoes, wheat flour, stopping smoking, medical conditions like crohn's, coeliac disease, iron deficiency, reactive arthritis, B12 deficiency.

Good teeth: Proper low sugar diet,  decrease frequency of carbs. Great oral hygiene, minimally invasive preventative dentistry.   Alkalization of mouth, 5-8 g/day xylitol.   Oral probiotics. Get off medications.  Get quality dental work done when necessary. Don't smoke.  Prevention prevention prevention.

This means it may not work well for your teeth. (so answering this question may not be helpful.)  if your darkened/yellowed teeth are from stain, otc may work. If they are dark from within, you'll need more than tooth paste.

Tooth Whitening: See your dentist who can discuss all the available tooth whitening methods available to you and which one would be best for your particular circumstances. My personal favorite is whitening gel  inserted into take home custom trays. It is cost effective and can be re-used for future touchups.

Braces: The best option for straightening your teeth will depend on your particular teeth and will be different for everyone.  Traditional braces, invisalign, crowns or veneers are some options. Start with an evaluation with your general dentist or an orthodontist and discuss your goals and learn what options you have.

Easy: Brush thoroughly 2-3 times per day with a Fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, use a good quality oral rinse such as listerine once per day, see the dentist every 6 months. Brush your tongue daily to reduce oral bacteria. Replace your toothbrush with a new one every 3 months.  This is an easy formula for optimum oral health.

Clean teeth: Brush and floss thoroughly at least twice a day, especially at bedtime. Control your diet... Stay away from sticky, surgary foods. Don't smoke or use smokeless tobacco.
See your dentist at least every 6 months, and follow his and/or the hygienists oral hygiene instructions.
