Probably: Pelviectasis is a general term used to describe dilation of the renal pelvis, or collecting system of the kidney and, generally, is clinically insignificant. 
Hydronephrosis also refers to dilation of the renal pelvis, But has the added connotation that the pathology was caused by an obstructive process, such as a kidney stone or in your case the peripelvic cyst of Rt kidney. Unremarkable finding.

: The wording means the collecting chamber in the middle of the right kidney is bigger than expected. What it means in a person must be interpreted by the doc who knows all the facts of the case.

Not at all: There is a very slightly increased risk of Down syndrome when prenatal hydronephrosis is diagnosed at maternal-fetal ultrasound during pregnancy.

Accepted Answer

It means: there is dilatation of the renal pelvis and collecting system.  This part of the kidney collects the urine and empties into the ureter.  Dilatation could mean that there is an obstruction of the outflow, or it may be a sign of vesicoureteral reflux.  Speak with your doctor about what it means in your child's case.

Pelviectasis -: Pelviectasis is mild dilatation of the area where the ureter meets the kidney. It can be associated with an obstructed uropathy. Pelviectasis found in children under 1 yr of age (usually during UTI work-up), has a significant rate of spontaneous resolution - which means nothing will need to be done - just monitor. If there is an obstructed uropathy then urologic surgery may be needed.

Doubt it: The advances in fetal monitoring have given rise to new issues that were never evident before. One is the relatively common finding of dilated renal pelvi which will often go away within a few weeks of birth when the system matures more. Persistence or actual enlargement of kidneys over time can mean a blockage in the system.This will be evident on other studies and an US obtained after birth.

Not the same: pelviiectasis refers to widening or is a sac-like pocket of membranous tissue that contains fluid, air, or other substances. Cysts can grow almost anywhere in your body or under your skin. There are many different types of cysts. Most cysts are benign, or noncancerous thickening of the inside of the kidney .
