The temperature of: your nose has nothing to do with your overall health.  Your nose may feel cool to the touch b/c it sticks out from your face and radiates heat into the environment more than other parts of your body.  If your hands are warmer than your nose, this may increase the perception that your nose is cold. Also, blood flow to the outside of your nose is relatively scant, making it harder to keep warm.

Mucus color: One of the oldest methods of determining a persons health, is to notice the color, smell, and consistency of various bodily fluids.  A brown mucus, is likely the result of bacterial overgrowth or infection.  This could be a sinusitis and require antibiotics to treat.  If this is new, and happening more than just once, i would recommend an evaluation by a physician.  Also note any fever or chills.

Allergies???: It could be that you have been exposed to an allergin and your body has reacted in this way.  Mine is ragweed season.  You could try zyrtec (cetirizine) 10mg daily (works wonders for me) and see if this helps.  If not, consult your doctor.

Exposure to HSV: This means that at some point, you have been exposed to someone who has had a cold sore, or carries the hsv (herpes) virus and was 'shedding' virus.  Transmission can occur even if a cold sore is not present, fyi.

when i have a blocked nose and sinus pain i take cold and flu tablets and they help it when i take allergie ones they don't does this mean its colds?

Not necessarily: Cold tablet usually contains a decongestant when antihistamine does not. Since oral antihistamine does not decongest the nose , whether you have allergy or not cannot be solely differentiated by the drug response.  Allergy does not usually cause a fever, loss of appetite,  or extreme fatigue however.

You named reasons: Both a head cold and fluoxetine cause fatigue. Is your man getting at least 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep? Eating well? Depressed? All can contribute.

Cold Sore: I think it best to go to your doctor and have him/her check this out.   If it is a cold sore, there is medication you can take.  If it is a bacterial infection, you may need antibiotics.  Hope this helps!

: It is not unsual to have running nose when crying because it is a reflex response and the emotion of what is causing the crying is causing the breathing to be a little fast. It is reflex response seen in a lot of people.

Sinus infection: The evolution of your symptoms suggests you may be developing a sinus infection.  Yours is a typical timeline for development of a sinus infection following a viral illness such as a cold.  I would recommend seeing your physician.
