they say albumin is indicative of diabetes, but my glucose level is fine. so what does the high albumin mean?

Albuminuria: Albumin is a very abundant blood protein that we all have.  One of the complications of diabetes is kidney disease, and an early sign of diabetic kidney disease is spilling albumin into the urine (normally there is very little albumin in the urine).  The blood albumin level is not affected by diabetes unless there is severe kidney disease with a lot of albumin spillage.

is lasagna forbidden for diabetes.
ate small to medium piece 4pm then at 10:30pm ate small sandwich to take my medicine.
at 10 am my glucose level 191.
so if at the second day my level is high,does this means that it was more high at afternoon &night?

: No food is truly forbidden for diabetic patient if you only eat a small amount. The glucose level in the afternoon will depend somewhat on what medication you are taking at night and the next morning. Yes, if the glycemia of 191 at 10AM without breakfast and hypoglycemic agent(s) in AM so your glycemia will be likely higher in the afternoon after lunch time and at night after the dinner.

Need new physician: You may well have a high insulin level if you are in a pre-diabetic state, but I'm not sure why a reasonable  Physician would measure your insulin level if your blood sugar is normal, unless it's to try and show you that you are at risk of diabetes later! Still unusual way   Of practice! Either there is more to this than you have stated, or someone is milking the system ordering unneeded tests! Se

Depends: Was your glucose fasting or random and how elevated? Was it repeated? Was a hga1c done to check your 3 month average blood sugar? You may be normal, pre diabetic or diabetic. It's hard to tell from the information given . Having graves does not necessarily predispose to diabetes but those with diabetes frequently get thyroid disease.

: How high? If you are diabetic, you need to be evaluated. Usually it takes a combination of diet and medications to manage elevated blood glucose.

Accepted Answer

Depends on meal: Your glu after a meal varies with what you ate, how fast, the speed of your GI tract,  etc.  It is hard to precisely say whether your post meal glu are too high.  If you are testing your sugars because you have diabetes, or are worried about diabetes, best to check fasting and pre-meal, and also follow your a1c.  Normal fasting glu is 100 or less.  Diabetes is 126 or more. "impaired" is in between.

Fasting glucose: Have you been checked for metabolic syndrome or diabetes? Is this glucose of 229 done after fasting for 8 hours?  I would need more info. What is your hba1c.

They are normal.: These are normal values. You do not need to lower them. If worried, check your HGB a1c level.

Fasting?: Were the labs drawn fasting?   If so,  then the glucose is not normal.    The CO is fine.

Glucose levels : In order to diagnose diabetes you need more than one sample of random glucose testing, or oral glucose test or  Hemoglobin A1C Test. One random glucose level is insufficient to answer your questions. You didn't mention if you were fasting or not at the time this glucose levels were obtained. Please see your internist or family doctor for adequate diabetes test.
