Pain & nausea: "attack" means a sudden onset of right upper abdominal pain, nausea, sometimes vomiting. Usually happens a few hours after eating, especially if greasy fried fatty foods. Pain usually resolves over a few hours. Usually caused by gallstones. Need to go to an er if pains & vomiting do not resolve.

gall bladder ef was 15% 3 years ago and i just had a hida scan repeat... it was 63%. does this mean i'm normal now?

Depends: on what you mean being "normal." But yes, your HIDA scan is now normal. These tests tend to be highly variable &amp; the results can change from one day to another. If you have no gallstones on ultrasound, then your gallbladder is functioning normally at this time.

when the gall bladder contains stones , does that mean the gall bladder is not doing its work at all ? what if we remove the stones , will it be fine?

Not really: Gallstones can cause gallbladder pain or gallbladder attack. That doesn't mean gallbladder not working. Nowaday, gallbladder surgery mean taking gallbladder and stone out at the same time. The risk of taking stones out of it possible its that you can get more stone develop in there and had to go back and doing the same stuff again. Not worth it.

why is your gallbladder white my sister just had her gall bladder removed and i ask her husband what did it look like and he just said that it was white, i ask him what that meant and he said that he didn't know.

Once : Once the gallbladder is removed from the body and no longer has a blue supply, a white color would no be unusual. Also you have to take into consideration the amount, color, and consistency of the stones in the gallbladder, assuming that was the reason it was taken out. 
I hope your sister is recovering well.

Ultrasound: It means that the sack is not open as it usually would be. contents may be filled with sludge or stone or infection or neoplasm

Gallstone: A common condition of stones forming in the gallbladder. Can be observed if causing no problems. If causing upper abdominal discomforts with nausea or vomiting can have laparoscopic surgery to remove the gallbladder.

Need more info: What type of gb scan did you have—gb scan or hida scan? What units were given with the 33? (%, ml, etc) were other results given with this one. Please provide more info or ask your doc or the radiologist to explain the results.

GB part of liver: The GB is embedded into the liver structure.  The back wall of the GB is in direct contact with the liver cells.  The front of the GB which wall has no submucosa has a peritoneal surface which courses onto the surface of the liver.  When doing a GB resection, this peritoneal surface is incised on the top of the GB, and the GB then mobilized from  the bed of the liver, leaving a raw surface behind.

what would it mean if i got a fever of 100.0 the day after i got a hida scan for gall bladder but it went away in a few hours?

Accepted Answer

Probably nothing: Particularly if the fever resolved and you have no further symptoms.  You may have had a minor reaction to the dye, or other aspects of the procedure.  Suspect you are going to be fine, as long as your gall-bladder is doing well.  Hope you don't need surgery.

gall stones came after being pregnant , is that usual ? can the stones be removed with any mean , without removing the gall bladder?

NO: Most likely gall stones were  found after pregnancy  probably  due to symptoms sonogram was done. Unlike  kidney stones , which is a needed organ , entire gall bladder with stones will be removed as the diseased gb is the cause of stone formation., gb is not an essential needed organ
