More blood: Bright red blood usually indicates greater than usual amount of blood being lost in the periods. You may wish to take oral iron and multivitamin supplements to prevent anemia.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Blood is blood: One does not need to be concerned with the color or consistency of menstrual blood. Blood is blood. A lack of menstrual cramps is a good thing. Many women with bad cramps would be happy to trade places with you.

Normal: Nexplanon is a progesterone only contraceptive method.  Progesterone only methods do not make you have regular periods.  Bleeding can be absent, prolonged or random and sometimes will just be a little spotting or brown discharge.   All of these are normal on Nexplanon.  They usually become less frequent with time. Sounds normal: It is normal to have some bleeding after an IUD removal and also normal to have some bleeding when transitioning from one method to another. It is also common to have some irregular bleeding on Depo. You were on the Mirena (levonorgestrel) when you had sex so pregnancy is not a concern in this case. Normal: Cycle flow, if not heavy is blood that has clotted inside the uterine cavity, then the clot dissolves, prior to passing through cervix, dark blood.

If clots are passing prior to dissolving this indicates a heavy faster flow, not normal.  Bright red blood can also be a sign of flow that is too heavy or rapid.
