That your body aches: Temperature of 98 is a normal body temperature, so nothing to worry about there. If this is an acute change, by that i mean new body aches, did you change something in your daily life? More or less activity, your mattress, what chair you sit in at work...? Try some massage and stretching, a hot shower. Doubtful any infection as normal temperature.

Not Normal: This is a significant fever that is being caused by some kind of infection. Since has been going on for a few days, you should be seen. The achy feeling is related to the fever and whatever is causing the fever. There could be multiple causes and without knowing other symptoms, it is hard to say what is the underlying cause of the fever.

: It's possible. But covid is diagnosed with a test, not by symptoms since someone can be infected and have no symptoms at all. Get tested.

Hello. : Hello. A sed rate is another term for an erythrocyte sedimentation rate (esr).   It is a test  that can help detect inflammation (acute or chronic).  However, it is a nonspecific test, so the ESR could be elevated for many different reasons to include infections, cancers, and autoimmune  diseases. Your doctor will no doubt use this piece of information combined with results of other lab tests, your medical history and your physical examination to help determine the cause of your symptoms.

You probably have: a stomach virus. Take some pepto bismol and see if it helps. Drink lots of liquids if you can. If not better in 2 days,see a Dr. Take tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever.

Not likely: Not likely, however, fevers, weight loss and your symptoms as described in your question, make me want to do some addiitional  testing-- for viral disease, as mononucleosis, immune deficiency, Lyme disease.  If your primary doctor is not comfortable with your exam and history, may be reasonable to see an infectious disease doctor.   Feel better.
