Sometimes.: There are many forms of arthritis, and most are seen on X-Ray after you have the symptoms for a while.  Early on, the  arthritis may cause symptoms in a joint without any X-Ray findings, and a negative X-Ray does not exclude many types of arthritis.  If your symptoms persist, even with a negative X-Ray, see your Doctor for further evaluation.

No.: Arthritis implies joint inflammation, which may not be noted on a radiograph (x-ray) until there are joint anatomic changes that can be seen, such as: 1. Joint space narrowing, (from joint cartilage loss); 2. Joint periarticular osteopenia, (from increased blood flow); 3. Osteophytes. Joint arthritis is secondary to 1. Degeneration, (wear ; tear); 2. Autoimmune inflammation; 3. Crystal deposition.

i have a loss of curve in my neck, as well as arthris, per x-ray and mri. i go to a chiro now, is there anything that can be done to correct it?

Ortho: Arthritis once present is not reversible. Physical therapy may help. Loss of curvature likely due to arthritis. Preventing further deteriation is best right now with help from chiropractor and physical therapy.  Surgery can be done if pain is severe enough but save that for last option.

Yes: Your doctor should be able to help you. Arthritis in the upper back is uncommon. Cetainly your age is a bit young for degenerative arthritis. Unless your pain is persistent, i would not worry about arthritis. If your pain is persisting or getting worse, then you need to seek a second opinion from a joint specialist(rheumatologist).

Arthritis?: First off you should not have osteoarthritis at this age. If you do have arthritis them you should be treated. In any case an x-ray would be a minimum starting place. You may also need an mri.
