Can&#x27;t tell by feel: A liposarcoma is a malignant &quot;fatty tumor&quot; while a lipoma is a benign &quot;fatty tumor&quot;. Many times they will be similar on appearance and feel. The only true way to make the correct diagnosis is by biopsy or by surgical removal and looking under the microscope at the cells. Liposarcoma is exceedingly rare. If you&#x27;re concerned, you should see a surgeon.

Skin: Masses under the skin that are rubbery and freely mobile are often benign, but the only way to really know would be an excision or tissue sampling and examination of the tissue by a pathologist.  Imaging (such as ultrasound, ct scan, or mri), may also be helpful.

are the lumps in my legs fatty tumors or what? i have several lumps/bumps under the skin around my upper thigh area.  one is near my panty line, it is about the size of the tip of my thumb and hard but does not hurt.  it's been there probably 8 or 9 years

Fatty : Fatty tumors (or lipomas) are usually not hard. They are usually soft and squishy. If you  have a hard mass along your lower panty line that could be a chronically inflammed inguinal lymph node.  Can't determine what they are through this venu. Recommend that a family doctor or dermatologist examine you and determine what the lesions are.

i have a pain that is giving me a head ache right above my eye brow when i touch it hurt under the skin. i'm scared this could be a brain tumor. 22y/o?

It's not a toomah: If it's right under your skin, it's outside your skull, which means it isn't in your brain, all of which (hopefully) is inside your skull. Find something else to be frightened of, like who may win the 2016 presidential election. Now THAT's scary.

Experienced hands: If something can be felt but not seen then often a clinician can determine the most likely diagnosis by palpating the area in physical exam.  Superficial blood clots or varicosities are easily palpated, but more serious deep venous thrombosis usually are not. Cysts, lymph nodes, and a variety of skin nodules can be found behind the knee too.

Hard to say: most likely a benign tumor like meningioma or fibrous dysplasia or letomemingeal cyst.  Image if you dare with MRI and CT.  Most likely better to leave well enough alone.

since 3 months, sometimes i feel like a kind of pressure (no pain) on the left side on the top of  my head, always on the same area. is it tumor ?

Unlikely: Head pressure, tension headaches are quite common in otherwise healthy people. It is not a serious symptom of anything like a tumor. Take some tylenol (acetaminophen) and it should settle down. Only if you have progressively increasing headaches is it worth getting concerned about.  But that does not seem to be the case at the moment.

Surgical Excision: Majority of skin cancers are treated by complete surgical removal.  Basal and squamous cell carcinomas, the most common skin cancers, are curative if removed completely.  Malignant melanomas are also treated with excision.  However, depending on the depth of invasion and stage of disease, some undergo sentinel lymph node biopsy/dissection followed by systemic therapies such as interferon.

Many: The head is a complex place.  If you have headaches, face pain, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, rapid onset stuffiness, nose bleeds, eye pain, etc, call your doctor.  Your doctor can discuss what's going on with you and make sure you have an appropriate, focused work- up.
