Maybe/not: The initial year or so menses has the potential to be irregular in interval, duration &amp; flow. Once the kid starts releasing eggs with each cycle the pattern tends to become regular. The BC pill, originally developed for treating such issues is occasionally used now to pace menses &amp; control excess flow when it becomes too burdensome &amp; triggers anemia.

"2 wk menstr cycle": There is no meaning in that statement, since a true "menstrual cycle" has to include the time from ovulation to the onset of a "period", and that is 14 days (two wks). There are about 12-14 days in a cycle prior to ovulation also, so most "cycles" are from 24-34 days apart.  Bleeding can occur every two weeks, but that is due to other conditions, and not a "menstrual cycle".

Menses: Many women have changes in their cycles after age 35.  They can be heavier, shorter or you can skip them.  Often times this is due to ovulation issues.  However, its always important to rule out other things too like pregnancy, low thyroid, hyperprolactinemia.  Your provider can do this with blood work.
