i didnt see no laster or anything but i had to do a ct scan with contrast dye. and i can still see but feel like my vision is just litttle blurry now several days afterwards?

: CT scan, with or without contrast dye, has no effect on vision; and lasers are not normally done during CT. It is not the cause of your blurry vision.  See your doctor if it continues an/or you remain concerned.

Colon and Anatomy: Yes, of course. The colon is one of the largest organs in the abdomen.

No: No. Any licensed physician can order a ct or cat scan. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants can order them too.

Nondistended bladder: A non distended bladder is simply an empty bladder.  A distended bladder is full of urine.  You probably urinated just before the CT scan.  It is normal.

Meningitis: Meninges are layers of connective tissue that envelope the brain. When they get irritated, which among other things can be due to infection, they enhance more than normal; this is called meningitis.  The ventricular dilation in this case may represent mild hydrocephalus, which can be due to poor outflow or inadequate reabsorption of csf. Loss of corticomedullary distinction can be due to swelling.

Can't say: There is no way to tell how long a patient will be unconscious based on ct results. You just have to hope for the best.

Abdomen AND pelvis.: The large and small bowel are seen in both the abdomen and pelvis. So to fully evaluate the GI tract, you need both.

Yes: Yes.  Ct angiogram scan is the best imaging modality to diagnose an abdominal aneurysm and to measure it's size.

is there anything that can cause a ct scan not to be able to see my pelvic organs?

Accepted Answer

CT scans: Ct scans can be very insensitive in evaulating pelvic organs due to the crowded nature of the pelvis, as well as the surrounding bones (the pelvis itself).  Mri and ultrasound are better at characterizing the pelvic organs.
