A weakly reactive syphilis test or RPR test is a screening test.  Syphilis and other things can cause this test to be positive.  The definitive test is the FTA, or Flourescent Treponemal Antibody test.  This is specific for Syphilis and if this is positive then you have the disease.

i bought a new sex toy and used it after wash it with water and sensitive feminine soap. i have done all the std panel test include 4gen ab/ag hiv test and rpr syphilis test after 46d and it all non-reactive. do i need to retest? or it conclusive?

: A new object specially washed prior to use should not transmit any condition. All your tests were a waste of time and money and I am surprised a doc ordered those with no history of actual exposure. No further testing is needed

Sounds ok, until...: Until the next time one has sexual or other intimate contact with a person carrying syphilis. Of course, it is very hard to tell if the people you meet have syphilis... so live carefully... and see the doctor for routine check-ups according to the doctor's advised screening schedule.

Conclusive: If it was a syphilis ELISA or EIA best, it was conclusive at 4 weeks. No matter what type of test it was, the 6 week (41 day) result for sure is conclusive. For sure you didn't acquire syphilis during the exposure you are concerned about.

: If the second test is confirmed positive, we can only assume the first test was falsely negative which means the disease is present but test fails to detect it. Medical test is not 100% foolproof, it can be falsely positive (the test is positive but you do not have the disease) or falsely negative (you have the disease by then but the test fails to detect it).

tested? ask tester!: Your question is interesting, but incomplete. Most importantly, what known exposure you had and what treatment if any? Next what test did you have to determine if you are truly negative this time? If you had syphilis in the past and were treated with a typical regimen, this is highly effective. If you had NO further exposures you would not be likely to have active disease.  Ask tester to review!

Yes: In short yes.  There are several types....Ftab, treponema antibody and RPR (rapid plasma reagin).  The tests are very reliable.
