MRSA: With high probability you are colonized in the nose, back of throat and on your skin with this organism, and the potential for recurrent infections is there. You can attempt to be decolonized using nasal ointment with Mupirocin (Bactroban) combined with washing and bathing ONLY with soap containing Chlorhexidine (if you then use regular soap you will wash off the film and go back to original issue

Boils: A boil is a localized collection of pus and bacteria. This requires drainage and, often, antibiotics.

As staph is extremely common, delay in treatment is not recommended. A simple procedure (incision and drainage) can be performed to remove the collection of pus and antibiotics is usually started by mouth.

Warm compresses ma get them to open, but if there is redness and/or warmth go to an md!

1 to 2 weeks: If it hasn't closed in 1 to 2 weeks past the rupture, then have a GYN MD assess the site as it may be a chronic Bartholin gland infection.

See answer: An infected Bartholin's or sebaceous cyst would be most likely and occur in inner part of labia minora.  An infected skene's duct cyst occurs adjacent to opening of urethra. Treatment: moist heat and antibiotics may cure an infected gland/small abscess. However, as a rule, the larger the abscess, the less chance that antibiotics alone will be effective and incision/drainage by md will be required.

i had  ingrown hair between my labia and the inner fold of my leg that turned into a boil. it burst and drained. now there is a hole there. how should i treat it? should i put neoporin in it or will it heal on it's own. have you ever heard of this?

It : It is not uncommon for boils to burst and drain. This can be curative in some cases. Putting neosporin on the affected are is not a bad idea. If the area is still tender and red and not starting to close after a few days of keeping it clean and putting neosporin on it, then you may need oral antibiotics. However before then if you have fever or the wound looks infected (red, hot, more pus) then you need to see a medical professional right away for treatment.
