what could cause chronic white knuckles?

White knuckles: The reasons for white knuckles are many.  If the skin is thick or scaling it may appear white when the fingers are slightly flexed.  If the knuckles are white when the fingers are straightened it maybe decreased blood in the area especially if the fingers are swollen.  Anemia can also cause white knuckles when the fingers are bent.

Fasciulations: Muscle fasiculations may occur and don't necessarily denote neurologic or muscle pathology. However if these are new to you and occur continually, i recommend an evaluation by a neurologist.

i have been having on and off wrist and hand pain for a few months on the left side of my left hand. i try to rest it as much as possible but it keeps coming back, albeit mildly. it might be caused by the keyboard. i fear it is becoming chronic!

what causes extreme fatigue, chronic bilateral arm and leg weakness with sudden onset, difficulty getting up from a sitting position and imbalance, tremors and jerking in left leg and hand, and stuttering. all of which can go away as fast as it comes?

: You need to see a neurologist for an evaluation, including a physical exam and diagnostic testing, to find out what the problem is so that it can be treated. This sounds like a neurologic issue so a neurologist is the best doctor to see to begin the process of diagnosing the issue. ANy medications you take also need to be reviewed for potential side effects. Good luck!

Crack, Pop, Crunch..: Yeah. For everyone around you. It's annoying- and makes you look nervous or uncomfortable. It's like cracking your gum all the time. And yes, it can put chronic strain on the joint capsules and lead to laxity and maybe even some arthritis down the line. Every now and then, OK (like once or twice an hour; or just before a fight). Otherwise  knock it off. Try tightly clenching your fists instead.

No: I read a recent study which confirmed what we all suspected, there is no increased risk of developing hand arthritis with knuckle cracking.
