: You might have a urinary infection or the urine might be very concentrated, Drink as much water as possible under circumstances ( small amts frequently) If it is not better in a few days pl see your doc/ urologist

It : It could be, but it is more likely inflammation from the prior surgery.  It sounds like you had a major surgery so it would make sense that you are still having symptoms.  Please continue with your pt and home exercise program, but schedule a follow up appointment with your orthopedist to be rechecked.

is nux vomica safe to use for post-op nausea/vomitting after orthopedic surgery? have not had good luck with other anti-emetics.

I wouldn't. : Nux vomica is the extract from the strychnine tree and is a deadly poison if ingested in sufficient dose. Before i experimented with that, i'd talk to your surgeon about your nausea. He may be able to change your pain medication, reducing narcotics which cause nausea and adding antiinflammatories for better analgesia.

back pain continues after l4/l5 fusion last spring. post-op i developed scarring & lumbosacral arachnoiditis. does this fall under the definition of "failed back surgery"? i can't stand long & have sensory ataxia so i'm not in a good spot. thank you?

: It could be. But a good exam and an MRI/CT would help. In the meantime do PT under the care of a good Therapist and use local pain control with things like heat, pain patches or TENS. See your surgeon or get another opinion. Hope you feel better.

what does it mean if a wound weeps after an operation?

Natural Process: When there is injury to our skin, inflammation occurs which means the area becomes red, warm, tender and with swelling.  The swelling occurs under the skin layers and then can leak out of an open wound.  The fluid contains water, protein, electrolytes and cells that give it color.  This is a natural process and aids in healing.  As it heals, the drainage will decrease.  Keep it covered.

Depends...: It all depends on what type of operation you had!  ask your doctor - sometimes you can get back to exercising right away, sometimes it will take weeks.

Anesthesia: Anesthesia consists of a variety of medications that are designed to render you unconscious.  These meds have varied durations within your body with some of the medications disappearing within minutes and others being capable of lasting within your body for hours or even for days.

Now a days most anesthesiologists tend to use shorter acting medications that will allow your body to eliminate fast.

how long is the recovery time after an operation on a shoulder. i have an exstensive slap tare to the upper librum?

Expect 3 mo therapy: I usually recommend up to 3 months of physical therapy (2 visits per week) after most repairs of slap tears of the labrum. This allows for adequate time for protecting the healing, repaired labrum. If the slap tear is only debrided (torn portion trimmed away akin to a hang nail), the recovery is much quicker and most patients can advance with minimal therapy "as tolerated".

It's very possible: Canker sores often arise due to a stressful situation.  There are many otc remedies that can offer relief.  They are also self limiting and will go away in sadly a few painful days.  Hope this helps.

No: The cervix does not grow back if it is removed surgically.
