Shingles?: Without being able to look at it, i would hesitate to attempt a diagnosis.  That being said, if it is painful, and has a "blister" look about it, it could be shingles, which can be treated.  Get it looked at soon as getting on the antivirals for it sooner would give a better outcome.  If, of course, it is shingles.

Focal alopecia: loss of hair in otherwise hairy areas of the body may be normal or related to a fungal skin infection. please get examined by a dermatologist or private physician.

Joint infection: Studies show septic arthritis causes swelling warmth pain tenderness, IMO the most important cause to rule out. Also, gout, pseudogout, ligament tear if there has been trauma, meniscus tear or other pathology, distal femoral defect, osteoarthritis. Without any more info, best to advise a full history and physical.
