Yes, I think so.: Severe constipation changes the way your organs fit together and that can create pressure on nerves that connect with other nerves. So the pain can pop up in places you don't expect. Get this cleared out as soon as you can by seeing a doctor for treatment or prescription. From then on - keep yourself from getting so blocked. Radiculopathy: refers to pain or other symptoms that occur in a location supplied by a nerve, when the problem occurs at or near the root of the nerve, shortly after its exit from the spinal cord.  Radicular pain in the groin results compression or irritation of a spinal nerve root in the upper lumbar spine (low pain).  This can result from inflammation surrounding the nerve root.  Nuprofen reduces inflammation

Sciatica: Given the problem is coming and going it is likely a piriformis spasm.  Try some regular stretching exercises.  I would anticipate this to resolve.  However if not see your provider.

You could be experiencing simple tightness of paravertebral muscles or discomfort from disc disease,verterbral spurs or arthritis of the spine. Tightness may be noted in bed as you relax &amp; muscles are not braced. Arthritis or degenerative disc disease may be worse on activity. Your physician or orthopedic specialist can examine and advise

Pinched back nerve: A nerve compression in the lower back would be the most common cause; this can be from a slipped disc in the lower back pinching a spinal nerve root, or from arthritis of the bones around those nerves. If this happened suddenly, it means a disc could have slipped at the time the pain started. Treatment is not bedrest (except for maybe a day) but gradually increasing movement along with medications.

Lumbar stenosis: Could be sciatica from lumbar spinal stenosis or a herniated disc- an MRI can confirm this
