Fibroids: Fibroids cause the muscle in the uterus to grow abnormally and to grow more blood vessels. This changes the blood flow and contraction pattern of the uterus causing heavy bleeding and pain in many people. There are also other causes for cramping such as adenomyosis, endometriosis, and sometimes it is unexplained. Most normal cramping is mediated by prostaglandins and nsaids like Ibuprofen can help.

Bleeding sex: Usually fibroids are not associated with bleeding with intercourse. Bleeding that is from deep in the vagina with intercourse is abnormal and needs to be evaluated. Make an appointment.

Fibroids: They could potentially bleed all the time until they are removed.  So if you are having prolonged bleeding you need to be seen, especially if you are starting to be fatigued, dizzy, short of breath, symptoms of anemia.

Msybe.: Fibroids ccan be the cause but hormonal irregularities can also be the culprit. It may be some combination of the two. You have to rule out an abnormal growth in the uterine lining. Speak with your doc.

Possible: Anything like a fibroid can potentially lead to postpartum bleeding.  It is hard to give a percentage as there are so many variables. Your doctor has a number of techniques and medicines available in case this happens.
