For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Based on the your description of the endoscopic appearance of your stomach lining it sounds like you have a patchy mild inflammation there. Biopsies will tell more, and may help point to cause of said inflammation (e.g. H.Pylori, nsaid, etc.).

Reflux esophagitis: simply put: the contents of the stomach, mainly acid,  stayed for a long time outside of the stomach up in the esophagus where they shouldn't be, causing inflammation of the lining of the esophagus hence the term, and that what causes heart burn and other symptoms. As for the causes for the reflux itself, they are numerous, most common are diet (e.g. fat, caffeine,) being overweight, drugs, etc..
