Suture: If the knife cut is fresh you will benefit from immediate suture and antibiotic hand infection become septic very fast. If injury more than 6 hours old make sure you have antibiotic and proper dsg check with your local wound clinic.

Cut: It will sting.  I would not do that a lot, but you have not likely hurt your finger.

It depends: It may look like it's healing well but you may have an infection under the skin.  It also depends on how deep the cut was. Please follow up with your primary doctor if pain or swelling increases.

Happy to help but: Unfortunately it's not clear what you mean by "caught it".  Is there a particular type of infection that you are worried about?

No: Cutting tendons would cause a lot of pain and difficulty with movement.

Nerves grow slowly: I assume that you have already consulted with a doctor to make sure no nerve repairs are needed or possible. If not, that is the first step.

Some peripheral nerves can grow back, but very slowly. Be patient. After a year or two, however, you cannot expect any further improvement.

Need more info: Did you have an injury even a slight one, to your right hand?  Do you have any loss of motion in that hand? It would also help me to know how old you are and what kind of occupation you have. There are several reasons for your complaint ranging from a neurological to an orthopedic cause. Please make an appointment with your family physician to find the cause and relive your pain.

: A small, superficial sensory nerve was probably injured due to the cut but regeneration is likely.

Get tested: Although it is highly unlikely to get infected from dried blood, it is not impossible.  To ease your own mind best to get tested just in case.

Need more info: Hopefully you were treated by a hand surgeon. This kind of repair is tricky and should be done by an experienced orthopedic surgeon. My strong suggestion is if you did have a repair of the laceration and have these side effects you should return to the surgeon and following that you may need rehabilitation to try to return to normal use of your right hand.
