Suture: If the knife cut is fresh you will benefit from immediate suture and antibiotic hand infection become septic very fast. If injury more than 6 hours old make sure you have antibiotic and proper dsg check with your local wound clinic.

Get it checked: See a doctor and make sure 1. You get it stitched if needed, 2. You don't get/have an infection, 3. You didn't cut a tendon that needs to be repaired.
