Could be: If the mucus clear and watery, it could be due to allergies. Using a corticosteroid nasal spray like flonase and taking an oral antihistamine like claritin(which is nondrowsy)  should help. There are prescription medications like singulair that could be tried.   If the mucus is yellow or green, sinus infection could be the cause. An Otolaryngologist can evaluate and advise you.

Symptoms: Am not sure what the actual question is. Congestion – saline nose drops or netti pot. For anti-inflammatory effect &amp; mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.  Hydrate- lots of water/clear broth/ add honey &amp; a small amt. of lemon juice to Chamomile tea. Fever/ pain – acetaminophen / NSAID’s  Rest!!

Yes you can: unless you have a contraindication, like hypertension, but no interaction with amoxicillin, rest and fluids are important too together with saline nasal washes, would help you out, if no improvement, call or visit your doctor

The Drixine Is Bad: Nasal decongestants help congestion but at a price... they wear off and you end up stuffier than ever.

Check with an ENT physician to rule out deviated septum’s, allergies, sinusitis, nasal polyps, etc etc.

Nasal congestion : Your symptoms are consistent with an upper respiratory infection which could be viral or bacterial. You did not note how long you have had symptoms. If over 7-10!days would recommend seeing an ENT specialist to see if you need antibiotics.. also would check your pulse , not sure if the palpitations are from medicine you are taking or your illness.

Itching /congestion: With the itching could be seasonal allergies would consider Benadryl 1/2 to 1 tab at bedtime and Zyrtec during the day . Itching  is pretty specific for allergies.  If worsens  or develops fever would seek medical attention for sinusitis versus viral  infection including coronavirus these days   but as stated itching  is pretty diagnostic of allergies.

Nasal saline: Nasal Saline or sinus rinse is a safe bet.  Treatment depends the underlying cause. Nasal sprays help unless there is an infection. If it's uncomplicated allergies then an antihistamine may work.

No probably not: Tukol - Dextromethorphan (cough suppressant), guaifenesin (mucous thinner), pseudoephedrine (decongestant)  will not likely help your post nasal drip.  If it is chronic a visit to the Allergist or ENT is in order.

None: Everyone has mucous in back of nose.  If you are bothered by it usually it is because the mucous is thick. Keep hydrated and use nasal saline and humidifier.  You may try Guaifenesin 1200 mg twice day to take with food and glass of water to thin mucous.
