Test results: I doubt there is a connection between low platelet volume and your foamy urine. Did they check your urine itself? Or check your kidney function? Do you feel well? Any test can give falsely abnormal results, or results that are not in the normal range, but it doesn't really matter as long as you feel well. If you are well, don't worry. If worried, as to repeat the test, check the urine and kidneys.

i've had foamy urine for close to 2 weeks, i've done a urine analysis 2 days ago which showed nothing. i've also had unprotected sex about a month ago, i did an std test 1.5 week after (negative). i've been drinking more water, still foamy. help?

: Foamy urine can indicate elevated protein level, which in turn can be due to various kidney health problems. Did your urinalysis include a protein test? If not, repeat the urinalysis including protein. In any case, foamy urine is not usually a sign of an STD or any other infection. See a doctor if it continues and/or you remain concerned. Good luck.

Urine analysis: Hi, if you are concerned that you are having urinary symptoms, your primary care doctor can perform an in-office test to examine if there are any abnormalities in your urine.  They will then be able to compare the results with your symptoms and determine if there are any abnormalities that need to be treated.

Usually not...: Foamy urine appears in the patients with diabetic kidney disease(diabetic nephropathy), inherent kidney(nephrotic syndrome), or drugs such as televancin . Otherwise, occasional occurrence is ok as long as urinalysis is normal, there is no uti, and kidney function is good as tested. But, detailing? Ask your doctor.

See a doctor: Foamy bubbly urine is possibly urine filled with proteins.  Normal urine should not have protein in it.  Many conditions cause significant protein loss in the urine, one of them being diabetes.  With a family history of diabetes and since diabetes is the number one cause of kidney failure in the us, i would get it checked out.
