Unnecessary : 50 years ago infants were fed solids early & frequently to make up for deficiencies in the evaporated milk formulas moms made at home. Today early feeds are an antiquated practice & do not add to the child's nutrition. Today solids are viewed as a tutorial to transition baby to the table. Starting at 6m as the tongue thrust fades & baby begins to sit is early enough.

Eating from birth!: You are feeding her from birth with either your breast milk (best) or formula(s). You can feed your child that way until your child reaches either (1) double his birth weight; or (2) more than 14 lbs; or, if bottle feeding, (3) more than 32 oz of formula/day. Then you can start feeding "solids".

Can be toxic: Caffeine can be toxic in large amounts even in adults and can be toxic in babies even in small amounts. It cause rapid heart rate, irregular heart beat, anxiety, crying, aggression and significant sleep issues which may persist for few days. Rarely it can cause kidney issues as it can act like a diuretic.

Several Possibilitie: A child who has never taken solid foods by 7 months old needs to be evaluated for a possible "oral aversion." if your child has enjoyed solid foods, but is now refusing them, your doctor should examine them for a physical cause such as sore throat, teething or ear infection.
