Stillbirth: Prior to 20 weeks gestation the fetus is an abortus. After 20 weeks it is a stillbirth. Some states make the distinction on the basis of fetal weight with < 500 gm an abortus and > 500 gm a stillbirth.

Studies have found various types of links between bacterial vaginosis and problems with pregnancy. Some studies have found that having a bacterial vaginosis infection increases the risk of having a low-birthweight infant or giving birth premature

It's possible.: Certain infections of the genital tract can predispose a woman to premature labor, miscarriages, and stillborns. If you are planning on trying to conceive again, you should visit an ob/gyn beforehand, so you can make sure these infections are treated first. Very sorry for your loss.

Take the treatment: Knowing you are pregnant, your doctor would not have prescribed treatment unless s/he believed it would be safe for the pregnancy and your baby. In fact, the opposite is true:  BV itself risks premature labor and other complications. Take the treatment as prescribed, or contact your doctor if you still have questions about it.

No good answer: It's strictly an individualized decision. How old is the baby. How "fragile" are the parents. It's strictly a personal decision.

Stillborn: It depends on the parents and dr. Sometimes they know  the cause of death, they do autopsy  to find out the anomally that cause baby to die. Sometimes it is fetal distress syndrome.

See a Perinatologist: First of all, I would like to stress that you should relax. Stress can prevent pregnancy. The best news is that you have gotten pregnant before. So, you will get pregnant again. The most important thing is to find a reason for your still birth and your miscarriage. It is best you see a high risk pregnancy doctor that is called a perinatologist to guide you. Please tell your doctor your concerns.

Epidural/Spinal: Differential list is long : Possibly due to an epidural or spinal received during labor; streteching of lower lumbar spines  and sacral nerve bundles due to pressure at delivery; direct damage to coccyx and innervation from pressure of fetal head during delivery; internal pelvis muscle strain, sprain, or tear; uterine myomas;
endometriosis, retained products of conception( need D &amp; C)

MFM consult time: You need to see a maternal fetal medicine specialist for a thorough consultation.  You could have a variety of issues like lupus, to factor 5 leiden mutation, to incompetant cervix.  Mfm's are also called perinatologists.  However, an answer may never be found.

Don't Give up!: Renee, this is a terrible tragedy but it has happened to others and they have come through.  You still have one precious life inside you and you need to take special care of yourself right now to protect this one and to make it possible for you to have others.
