Not clear: I would definitely make sure your Thyroid hormone levels are well regulated and this is simply done with a blood test. All psychotropic drugs can interact with each other and you may be experiencing something like that.  It would be helpful to know how long you've been on those meds and the doses.  Of course, it could be a non-medication related condition and follow up with you doc is crucial.

Generally: The xl costs more than the sr or regular buproprion.  If u r doing well on 7.00 version, no need 2 change butthe xl has the benefit of daily dosing which helps improve compliance.  Good luck.

Generic forms: Drug stores usually buy the least expensive generic medications they can -- meaning what they dispense will differ from one time to another. You need to ask the pharmacy dispensing the medication if it's a generic form of wellbutrin (bupropion) (i don't know "wellbruton, " but am guessing you might have meant "wellbutrin (bupropion)" instead.) your doctor can write for "brand name only", but this will likely cost you more.

No need to mix: Alternative herbal treatments are poorly scientifically studied , if you have mild depression/anxiety, they may help you, but is not recommendable to mix it with other "orthodox" medications like Bupropion. For one we don't know of the potential pharmacodynamic  nor the kinetic interactions, and as you say the potential danger of the mix. therefore chose one way or the other, but not the mix.

It can: If you'd prefer, there is a generic, once daily dose of wellbutrin (bupropion), (bupropion) called wellbutrin (bupropion) xl.  You may talk to your doctor about that one.  It may work better for you, since you are having trouble remembering the second dose in the afternoon.
