Injury unlikely: A neck injury would have caused more symptoms. You may wish to reduce the intensity of your exercise, though it is good that you are exercising.

Depends: This depends on the type of structures injured. Some people with a disc herniation may sleep sitting up in a recliner but if just arthritic or muscular in nature, then with just a small pillow supporting your head while on your side or on your back.

If just talking : About a strain or muscular injury, a small flat pillow should be enough.  Sometimes, a soft cervical collar for a short period of time can help as well.   These are more for comfort.

Absolutely: As an osteopathic physician dealing primarily with acute and chronic pain for the past 25 yrs, i find that MRI would actually miss the cause of pain after an injury extremely often.  Whiplash, for instance, is a 'soft tissue' injury which has nothing that can be seen by an mri.  I use MRI very selectively since do's like me can frequently find and treat the cause of the pain just with our hands.

Depends, see Doctor : This depends on what kind of injury you have: muscle sprain/fracture/ligament injury etc.  Management will depend on this and certainly depending on type of injury you should not engage in gymnastics for certain periods of time.  Bottom line is if you are having significant pain or pain that is not going away, restricted neck motion, or any neurological complaints please be seen.

Not typically : The nerves that supply sensation to the face are cranial nerves that exit directly out of the skull and so are not typically associated with cervical spine problems directly.  Don't hesitate to be seen for a specific diagnosis.
