we use latex gloves at work and my nails get damaged. how can i strengthen them?

Biotin: Does not sound like a latex allergy.  So i would recommend using hand moisturizer at work - there are some specifically made for glove wearers.  Also taking biotin daily like in a hair, skin and nail formula vitamin from a health food store can help too!

Washing too much?: If you are obsessing about dirty nails you may have extreme exposure to dirt or you may be obsessive compulsive.  If your family  agree that your nails are excessively dirty than get a nail brush.  But if others say you need to quit thinking about your nails you need a psychiatrist.  It is a form of anxiety and the doctor can help you.

one of the workers cut himself on my machine i was wondering if my skin came in contact with a trace of blood (there was no visible blood) could i get hep c? i was wearing fabric gloves but they have holes in them. also have cuts near nails on top?

: if there is blood to blood contact from open wounds ,your blood and someone else's blood than you can get HEP C and other diseases. HPV,HIV AND STD'S. IF THE OTHER PERSON IS NEGATIVE FOR ALL OR ANY THAN NO PROBLEM, BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW? BEST HAVE OTHER PERSON TESTED FOR ANY DISEASES. YOU CAN GET HEP C FROM ANY CUTS ON A DIRTY OR UNSTERIALIZED INSTRUMENT.

i have terry nails, fatigue and hair loss. i'm only 26, don't drink or take meds/drugs. is this likely due to bad diet or should i get blood work done?

Terry?: I am not sure what terry nails are, but you could be describing some symptoms of low thyroid. I recommend a blood test to rule this out.

i put the toilet seat up from the front using my hands at my work (office) toilet & got distracted and didnt wash my hands and then ended up biting my nails and putting my fingers in my mouth. how likely am i to get threadworms/pin worms from this?

: You are not at risk of worm infestation from what you described.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Try Biotin: Try taking biotin 3-5000 ug daily.  Silica supplements may help also.  Finally, be sure not to disturb your cuticle and avoid harsh chemicals.

? Leukonychia ?: Milk spots on nails are usually harmless &amp; related to nail trauma (such as biting nails). Other causes can be Iron or protein deficiency, lead or arsenic poisoning, renal failure, cirrhosis, pneumonia, heart disease, psoriasis or marked psychological stress.  Zinc or calcium deficiency are possible if on both finger &amp; toe nails.

Hard as Nails: There is a product called "Hard as Nails" that helps to strengthen them.  You can also use clear coat acrylic nail polish which will help.

NOT NORMAL: YOU COULD HAVE A CIRCULATION PROBLEM, MOST LIKELY IT IS A NARROWING OF YOUR SMALL ARTERY TO YOUR FINGER . WILL GET BETTER IF GO UNDER WARM WATER OR GO INSIDE WHERE IS WARM.
