May need evaluation: As bad as it sounds, it is not uncommon. You already removed the offending agent. Here are some signs that you may need to be seen by your doctor:
Persistent vaginal discharge, burning or itching
Pelvic pain, fever or a rash
If your symptoms disappear, you may want to take some probiotics (eat greek yogurt).
DO NOT DOUCHE, this kills the good bacteria in your vagina

Very common: After your period some blood remains in the back of the vagina and then slowly comes out. Consider starting birth control to decrease the length of your cycles.  Brown is just old blood.

Prob irreg period: Sounds like an irregular period. Brown usually means old blood that has been sitting at the back of the vagina. If this is not typical for you then track your cycles for the next few months to see if they normalize. Often things get back to normal the next cycle.
